Battery

The battery stores power from the Solar Panel and is used to supply energy to other components. The storage capacity of the battery can be increased by upgrading to higher battery levels.

Solar Panel

The Solar Panel charges the Battery at a constant rate according to the part level. The Solar Panel only charges when unfolded. To ensure the safety of the extended Panel, player speed is reduced to 25%.

Antenna

The antenna allows players to remotely connect to their base and access the crafting and drone control tabs while also providing a directional indicator pointing the player toward their base. These functions are only available when the antenna is deployed and they only work within a radius of the base defined by the antenna level.

Spectrometer

The spectrometer is used to detect resources in proximity of the player character. Once activated, the spectrometer will reveal the appropriate class of resources within the given radius for the currently equipped Spectrometer.

Drill

The drill is used to collect resources from the ground, revealed by the Spectrometer. The time to collect a resource depends on the current drill speed, and the density of the resource being gathered. In addition, the drill can only collect resources within the current maximum depth. Upgrading the drill allows players to reach further depths, and increase speed. In order to collect a resource, the player must first extend the drill. The motor will be turned off and locked and the brakes applied in order to extend the drill. Once extended, the player can then activate to drill to gather available resources. To move to another location, the player must deactivate, and then retract the drill. Once retracted, the brakes will be released and the motor will become unlocked.

Motor & Wheels

The electric motor affects the overall speed of the player character. When activated (via a depressed movement key), the motor applies force in the appropriate direction, using energy from the battery. When the movement key is released, the motor gear torque reduces the player character velocity until resting. The wheels affects the overall speed of the player character. When moving, wheels use steering for direction control and differentials to compensate for friction utilizing battery power. The motor and wheels are two separate components, which combine to form the overall speed factor for the player character.

Cargo Hold

The Cargo Hold is used to store items and has a limited capacity. Mined resources are stored in the cargo hold in addition to crafted parts. If the cargo hold is full, resources cannot be mined nor can crafting parts be placed into the player inventory. The capacity of the Cargo Hold can be increased by upgrading the Cargo Hold level.
